Nicolas Bovard (Cave Mont Blanc), 29 years old, is the new president of the Consortium of Aosta Valley Wines: a change in the board, which wants to focus on the younger generation, so much so that Bovard will be flanked by vice-president André Gerbore (Cave des Onzes Communes), born in 1989. 'A choice,' reads a note, 'that testifies to the sector's confidence in the young protagonists of Valdostan viticulture. The new board will then be made up of Hervé Grosjean (Grosjean Vins), Patrick Ronzani (Institut Agricole Régional), Matteo Barmaz (Di Barrò), Elio Chatrian (Crotta di Vegneron), Luciano Zoppo Ronzero (Pianta Grossa), Vincent Grosjean (Soc. Agricola Les Ecules), and Marco Martin (Lo Triolet).
Among the new board's priorities is a clear and well-focused manifesto on a few points, such as “defining and reinforcing the identity of the Vallée d'Aoste Doc denomination, supervising the correct use of the denomination of origin, collaborating with research bodies to promote the development of mountain viticulture, and working closely with the regional administration to enhance the Doc denomination, both within the territory and beyond the regional borders”.
We offer our sincere congratulations to Bovard, at the helm of Cave Mont Blanc, a winery distributed by Proposta Vini.
