What's new in the 2025 Proposta Vini Catalogue

Friday, 28 February 2025 Irene Perico, Friday, 28 February 2025 (0 minutes read)

A viticultural and landscape mosaic: for the past forty years, our catalogue has focused on highlighting authentic and territorial, artisanal and quality productions. A selection with a European scope that is gradually being enriched with new fascinating stories, all to be discovered, such as those of the 55 new realities that joined the large Proposta Vini family in 2025.

Forty new wineries in all, twelve of which are Italian producers expressing the specificity and uniqueness of winemaking in the different regions of our country. From Piedmont we find Roberto Crosio, a young and dynamic producer together with his wife of Erbaluce in the Canavese area, and Poderi Colla, a company founded by brothers Tino and Beppe Colla who have written the history of oenology in the Langhe. In Liguria, on the other hand, we find Cascina Nirasca, guardian of steeply sloping vineyards in the heart of the Ormeasco di Pornassio DOC area, the smallest in Liguria, while Taoma, in the Luni area, the cradle of Vermentino, is led by the young Tommaso Petacchi.

In Oltrepò Pavese, in Lombardy, Alberto Fiori continues the family business by producing white wines of great verticality and precise bubbles.

Claudia Augusta and Mario Sandri, on the other hand, represent Trentino: the former is the project created ad hoc for Proposta Vini by Daniele Endrici dedicated to both the more classic varieties and the more unusual ones growing along the Via Claudia Augusta. The young Mario Sandri is dedicated to revitalising forgotten mountain viticulture between Val di Sole and Val di Non.

In Veneto, the vineyards planted on the sand of Corte Carezzabella are a dynamic testimony to the viticulture of Polesine, in the Po Delta area, while Ventiventi in Emilia-Romagna with its organic approach aims to create bubbles of excellence. Between the valleys of Tronto and Tesino, in the Marche, Quntì combines research, enthusiasm and passion to produce its Pecorino, while in Cilento Tenuta Cobellis is dedicated to the valorisation of Aglianico, Fiano Cilentano, Greco, Coda di Volpe, Sangiovese and Barbera, just as Santa Venere does in Calabria with the great ampelographic heritage of the land of Cirò.

Going beyond national borders, 28 European companies have chosen Proposta Vini:

Julian, Domaine de Nugues, Domaine de Massiac, Domaine Philippe Girard, La Voute du Verdus, Les Vignerons de Buzet, Ormarine, Symphonie de Clos Haut Peyraguey, plus the Clos Fornelli race, which offer a selection of refined and enchanting wines, expressions of the different terroirs of this country.

Spain and its viticulture is represented by the bodegas Senorio de Librares and Santa Catarina, while with Lyrarakis, Oenops Wines and Orealios we turn our gaze towards Greece and finally Monastero di Dariali, Nagdi Marani, Ninos Marani and Raberi Marani from Georgia broaden the horizons of our selection.

"A mosaic of realities expressing the different excellences, territories and nuances of Italian and European viticulture, in some cases still little known. A re-discovery work that for forty years has been the fil rouge with which we identify the realities included in our catalogue," specifies Gianluca Telloli, Wine selector of Proposta Vini.

On the spirits front, there are 15 new companies in the Proposta Spirits catalogue in which DoraGrossa Liquorificio and Karminia from Piedmont stand out. The former pays homage to Turin's liqueur-making tradition, rediscovering lost flavours from when Turin's mastery in blending herbs and spices was known throughout Europe. Karminia, on the other hand, focused on creating a different kind of Vermouth that would make bartenders fall in love with its unmistakable taste. On the other hand, the exploration of the world of distillation by Cuspid Selections, a company that selects the best perfumes and aromas and quality raw materials to bottle, starts from Parma. Smelling instead of Sicily is the Nèpeta project aimed at recovering a Sicilian herb unknown to most - Nepitella - transformed into a unique bitter.

Crossing national borders are from Sweden Norrbottens Distillery, from Ireland Finvara Irish Whiskey, from Scotland Ballindalloch Distillery, Ian MacLeod Six Isles and Murray MacDavid. On the other hand, Fontagard Distillery from France, Gemellii from Germany and finally Buen Vato, Enemigo and Marca Negra from Mexico.

"The entry of these new realities in our catalogue," explains Antonio Beneforti, selector of Proposta Spirits, "goes in the direction of completing our offer, in line with the trends that are emerging in mixology and beyond, making us even more competitive thanks to excellent products that range from the Italian liquor tradition to whiskies and agave spirits."
