First half 2025: positive balance for Proposta Vini
The first six months of this 2025 for Proposta Vini ended on a positive note with a slight increase in turnover (+1%) and a very dynamic and gratifying second quarter in many respects.
Among the most encouraging and stimulating elements, in addition to the economic data, is the confirmation that consumers' interests and choices are increasingly directed towards a greater geographical and historical contextualisation of products (a trend that does not only concern the wine segment and therefore constitutes a further positive note) and towards the uniqueness of certain productions, which do not follow the fashions of the moment but require a more detailed description and narrative with arguments that rely on tradition and historical grape varieties.
In these first six months, we have witnessed a downsizing in the consumption of high-end wines with important prices, which has particularly affected reds with a sustained alcohol content (-5%), champagnes (-12%) and reserve sparkling wines and top-range wines more generally. The reasons for this slowdown reflect, in our opinion, a change in public taste that has been taking place for several years now.
