Discover a “little Europe” that came into being before the “big Europe” existed.

A place where dozens of languages, two alphabets, five religions, and a variety of traditions, cultures, and climates coexist, along with mountains and plains. It is the homeland of Gypsy and klezmer music, as well as classical music, of millions of folk songs, and of the Strauss family…

All of this existed and still exists in this world, amid the Mediterranean scrub and birch forests, where foods and recipes come in endless variations.

And, of course, wines—many wines rooted in ancient and enduring traditions stretching from the Danube to the Rhine, from the Adriatic to the Carpathians, and from the bora to the sirocco—which we have brought together in this special project.
